dream
I woke up pretty early this morning, not able to get back to sleep, after about an hour of being bored I lay back down in bed and was in that state where you’re half awake and half asleep. Finally I fell asleep and had this dream. It was the most vivid dream I’ve ever had:
I was at the carousel with my brother and his friend Jordan, but the building it was in wasn’t the actual building, it was in a house with an open roof, in someones living room, Sam from Art of Espresso at UCSD was also there. We all noticed a fire outside the house, the surrounding neighborhood looked like one of the poor hillside areas of Rio de Janeiro, the fire was burning in a taco shop, which happened to be owned by Sam so he left to put it out. None of us said it, but I knew this was the second fire recently. Then we noticed the fire was burning on a couch inside the house now. We didn’t want it to spread so we put it out. All of a sudden Chris and Jordan were gone and I was sitting on a couch, a cat walked by. It was a combination of Kiley and Domino Infinity (two friends cats) big like DI but spunky like Kiley. We started playing and then the cat walked over where the fire had just been put out and got burned. This caused her to freak out, it looked the way cartoons look when they get electrocuted, then she was possessed. The cat started running around out of control and attacking us and all of a sudden she was biting my fingers and it hurt so bad.
It was then that I realized I was dreaming, except I realized I was dreaming inside of my dream. Ryan was there all of a sudden and he had some way to influence my dreams. He would draw something while I was sleeping and then I would dream, and later we would interpret the differences between what he drew and how I percieved it in my dreams. The pain of the cat biting my fingers was still very intense and very real, I wanted it to stop. Then I got curious about what was causing the pain, I was sure he was physically doing something to me that was causing me to feel pain in the dream but he wouldn’t let me wake up. I struggled to open my eyes, then I realized that this was a dream too, but the pain was still there. I finally opened my eyes, convinced I would wake up with my fingers in my mouth and my teeth clenched down on them.
When I awoke my hands were at my sides, my fingers weren’t wet and there were no teeth marks.
